Toddlers ages 2 to 4


Terrific Tots Combo

Ballet and Tumbling introduction. Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. The dancers do not have mom, dad or another loved one by their side during the class, so this class is great for children who will be able to participate in class on their own. Our teachers will keep the music and curriculum moving along in a way that is fun, positive and appropriate for children 2-4 years of age. 

Mini Dancers  ages 4 to 6

Pre Hip Hop:

An introduction to current dance styles. It will focus on the hip-hop style while encouraging dancers to explore their unique take on hip-hop movements.

Pre Acrobatics:

An introduction to Learn the basics  skills in this flexible Acro class! Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. Our experienced acro instructor will guide the class towards increased flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique, teaching such skills as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance and contortion tricks, all each student's individual level of experience. And it's fun, too!

Pre Ballet:

An introduction to ballet with beginning development of ballet concepts including
turn out, coordination, spatial awareness and a specific focus on class etiquette. Students will begin positions of the feet,
and introductory movement vocabulary

Pre Tap:

An introduction  to developing rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. 

Pre Jazz:

An introduction to  utilizing  basic jazz technique while also developing the ability to pick up and memorize stylized
movements

Dancers  ages 6 and Up

Tap:

he class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. Advanced theories of tap dancing will be introduced, including improvisation and rhythm making.

Advanced level Technique will begin to be introduced and speed, clarity, precision, and coordination will be taken to the next level.
Turns & Technique

Students will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute ballet moves. Each class will emphasize barre exercises and may also include a combination of center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. This class does not include a year-end performance. Classes will be designed to help each dancer identify and work on specific techniques and skills needed to
improve their understanding and performance of these specific moves
POM

Pom is a class designed to introduce dancers to the basics of proper jazz dance technique while including the sharp synchronized movements and visual effects of working with pom poms! For those students looking towards trying out for cheer and dance team, this class translates into these competitive performance styles
Broadway Tap

Broadway-style Tap choreography and show-stopping stage presence with a focus on learning song-and-dance numbers from a variety of musical productions, past and present. Broadway Tap is a great class for students interested in Musical Theater.

Musical Theater

Musical theater is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through the words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole. Students will learn to express themselves in a Jazz-based, musical Broadway style. Students will
be asked to act, lip sing and dance throughout this creative an upbeat dance style.
Hip Hop

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.
Ballet

Ballet challenges dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion.  Ballet is considered the foundation of artistic dance.  Its meticulous attention to technical detail makes it invaluable for any serious dancer.  A ballet dancer's movements attempt to show the meaning of the music.  Ballet is a wonderful opportunity for the dancer to express oneself through dance
Broadway Jazz

These upbeat classes teach Broadway-style jazz choreography and show-stopping stage presence with a focus on learning song-and-dance numbers from a variety of musical productions, past and present. Broadway Jazz is a great class for students interested in Musical Theater.

Jazz

Jazz  is a more structured, stage style of dance.  This class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines the elements of hip hop moves and contemporary music.  Students learn the necessary elements of jazz which are crucial to success if they wish to move on to another dance style. 
Acrobatics

Acrobatic Dance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, lines and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context. Acro is an especially challenging style for dancers to master as training in both dance and acrobatic elements is required. Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength.
Lyrical

Lyrical class is designed for intermediate to advanced students with previous training in ballet. Students will explore partnering and weight sharing exercises combined with basic techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. It emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics while telling a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.
Cheer Tumbling

In our Beginner Tumbling class students will learn the much needed basic foundational skills that will allow them to build upon their tumbling foundation for years to come. Starting with the most important skill of all, the handstand and working all the way to the bridge kickover. Other skills such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, round-offs and front limbers will also be introduced and worked on in this class. The over all focus of this class will be to develop strong basic skills, muscle development and the tumbling coordination they will need to help them further their tumbling career.

Intermediate  Tumbling- A big part of this class will be the development of the back handspring, standing and running. We will also continue to work the combination passes that are much needed for competition cheer and just look great for sideline cheerleaders. A little more focus will now be put on some of the forward skill such as punch fronts and front walkovers while still getting student ready for the back tuck. Once student develop their handsprings to a point that they can create enough power the back Tuck will be introduced.

Dancers  ages 8 and Up

Irish

An introduction to Irish dance movements (jumping, hopping, skipping and pointing), counting the beats and having fun with Irish dance. Introduction to Irish Dance technique and basic soft shoe steps, focusing on coordination, balance and musicality. Incorporates fun dance games to improve dance skill and timing! This class introduces dancers to the soft shoe jig and reel. Class also focuses on perfecting technique and introduces fun group dances. 
Contemporary

This class is designed for the intermediate dancer that works to advance their Jazz skills in a more modern style.  Contemporary Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz technique that also express personal emotion and passion from within the dancer.
